It is that time again that this needs to be shared! To those photographers that are not sure how this pose is done, this is for you!
PLEASE READ! NEWBORN SAFETY!
As am admin on this page, a fellow photographer and a mentor and teacher, I want to share the correct way to do chin in hands or froggy pose. MY mentor, Tracy Raver, imagined this pose in her mind many years ago, before many of you were even thinking about newborn photography! It was ALWAYS meant to be done as a composite. Never, ever ...
was it meant to be done without your assistants hands on baby at all times! I also know everyone can't afford an assistant. If that is the case, be sure moms hands are always on baby. Also please remember, a baby's life is more valuable than a picture! One other note: I hope all of you have liability insurance! If anything ever were to happen, you will wish you had! I have semi retired and still carry at the VERY least a 2 million dollar liability policy. Photographers, all these things add up financially. I know! Raise your prices if you need to. If parents knew the expenses that went into a session it might help! But by all means never sacrifice a life for an image. These are SOOC, so excuse the imperfectness of them!
